Book Burning Audio
Inspired by the work of Paul De Marini, I have proposed to complete an installation which tells the story of the 1933 Book Burning Rally in Germany under the rule of Adolf Hitler. This is a photoshopped version of what I had in mind. The installation will incorporate the audio above, the smell of burning paper and an intense heat from around the room to give the viewer an intense interaction with an event of the past.
The piece is to commemorate the millions of people, thoughts and words lost to the Nazi Era. It is an incorporation of new media, the power of the wrath of nature and history all summed up into one.

This is my story of how the colour orange came to be.
It was once a world with brilliant scenes and explosive colours of all shades and hues. A world that was lost and destroyed. Over time, people evolved and came back to only find themselves and their world in red and blue.
A young boy was playing in a local collection of past artifacts. He understood the waste came from another time, but he was curious to see what he could find. He was one of the first boys to find a lighter in this world. His blue hands picked it up and studied it.
He was warned by his elders that the world they lived in was all they needed. Colour in 2’s was all that should be. A world where colour was blown away.

He lit the lighter and was in awe with such beauty. The flame was like nothing he had seen before. It was a colour that he could not make out. He was baffled and confused. He took a breath out. He was warned. He lit up, turning from one shade of blue to another.
His red eyes saw something they have never seen before. He had discovered a bright, new, intensity.
As he exhaled, the bright yellow heat radiated into the red sky around him.
This is how he blew alive the colour orange and rediscovered a new world of colour that once existed.

Some recent tattoo designs for clients this May: Elton’s love for sport and faith bring together a cross design with a silhouette soccer player. Ava’s crown design commemorates her Italian family heritage and her father’s name. If you are interested in your own tattoo design, email Lu at lp@luisapariselli.com.

Barely able to stand on his own two feet, getting a smile from Jordan took some full time entertainment from his family and friends. These are some shots taken to stray away from the traditional portraits done and capture more of his natural moments.

Simplicity can be powerful.
Jenna Bennett’s designs “believe” and “live, laugh, love” were designed after a brief conversation over what exactly she wanted.
They are perfect examples of smaller, word designs working on the body.

A tattoo is obviously a permanent decision and sometimes the thought of forever can be scary to think of, no matter how badly you want it. In brainstorming and thinking of places on the body where her new tattoo could go, Chrissy D’Agostino took part in a “Skin Art” session. Skin Art is something I do for certain clients which allows a final product of a tattoo design to be placed on a certain part of the body. This allows tentative tattoo seekers to see what the design would possibly look like on the skin. Just a fresh idea to give you more options on what exactly you are looking for.

Designing commemorative tattoos is always a pleasure to be apart of. The following tattoos were designed for friends Lee-Anne Maningas and Sandro Pannozzi. Lee Anne’s brings colour and natural balance to life in her floral border around a pre-existing tattoo. Sandro’s classic design is done in solid black ink, leaving a clean image on his back of a cross and wings. Both tattoos were extremely powerful images for each person and represent personal stories through personal design.

The Beginning

This site is finally up and running! Well, not officially. After hours of working on it for the past couple of weeks, Boris and I finally got it to work properly and look pretty close to what we had in mind. Boris and TS Productions took it to a new level and was the mechanical brains behind it all. It has so many more features then the last page which allows me to update it daily and allows you to come back and see new material. I have this space to blog, events to record, links to access you to, projects and jobs to update, and rough drafts for everyone to add to. This is pretty awesome, the “rough drafts” component allows you to add any doodles or random images on paper you could find. Allowing for comments, creativity or story telling..Check it out. The portfolio section has new tattoos and photography up from voyages taken this February. So many things to say and now I have the space to do it. Looking forward to rockin’ this site to the best of my ability. Thanks for coming by!
Cheers to this working.
